BSCAN is reporting
that it can't find the HiSCAN card and I have a HiSCAN card installed.
The HiSCAN drivers look for a HiSCAN card with a cable attached.
If the HiSCAN doesn't have a cable attached, this message will result.
BSCAN is

card installed and a cable attached. What's going on?
You probably have a plug-and-play conflict or a PCI bus problem.
When I install
HiSCAN, the Device Manager indicates that I have two video controllers
and BSCAN can't find the HiSCAN card. What do I do?
1. From Device Manager, click on the 2nd PCI display adapter
and press the "Remove" button.
2. Click
OK and Shut down your system. If prompted to restart, select "No"
and manually shut down from the "Start Menu" "Shutdown"
"Shut Down the Computer".
3. In your
system's BIOS, make sure there are interrupts available for PCI
that are not shared or reserved for ISA.
4. The next
step is to make sure your HiSCAN card is not conflicting with any
other PCI card via Windows95 Device Manager.
I am scanning
with BSCAN/HiSCAN. I stop and turn of the scanner, then turn it
back on again. is there a possibility of a synching problem between
BSCAN and the scanner?
If you are running a BSCAN/HiSCAN station and turn off the
scanner, BSCAN may possibly loose communication with the scanner.
It can be regained simply by restarting BSCAN.
If BSCAN is
still having trouble finding the HiSCAN card, you may have a motherboard
incompatibility and need to contact Image Access Technical Support
